Gwladys Nocera, who won Saturday the Lalla Meryem Cup, affirmed that she was "very proud of winning the tournament and satisfying the expectations since I was the favorite". The French, who won her fifth professional victory and her second of 2007 season, managed Saturday a scorecard of 71 (-2), carrying her total score to 209 strokes (-10). She succeeds in the Honor List to the Italian Sophie Sandolo, who had to withdraw last day due to an injury in her neck.
The second place was attributed to the Spanish Paula Marti Zambrano who succeeded a total of 216 strokes (-3), in spite of a relatively disappointing day (74 blows, i.e. +1). The Swedish Johanna Westerberg, sixth Friday, earned her third place, with a score of 71 strokes and a total score of 217 (-2). The single Moroccan pro in the competition, Mounya Amalou Sayeh, finished 10Th. She returned a card of 74 blows, carrying her total score to 228 (+9). Sayeh, irregular in this tournament, started well thursday by recording an encouraging score of 73 strokes, but was ‘penalized’ in the second tour (81). "I played much better today. Yesterday, I was unable to focus and I completely missed my 2nd round", regretted the Moroccan pro. (see declarations of Nocera and Amalou Sayeh)
