Second round of the Pro-Am of the Hassan II Golf Trophy and HRH Princess Lalla Meryem Cup

November 8th, 2008 - After three days of competition between professionals and amateurs, professional players will confront each other today (ladies) and tomorrow (men) during the final round.

Yesterday, Irish player Paul McGinley won the second round with a score of 69 (–4).

Ernie Els took the second place, with a score of 67 (-6), followed by Mark Foster and Bain Ross, with scores of 70 (-3) and 69 (-4). Moroccan players Younes El Hassani and Fayçal Serghini took the 16th and 17th place at the second round with a score of 75 (2) and 73 (0).

On the ladies field, Laura Davis kept her first place at the second round and won 2 points at her final score, reaching a score of 69 (-4). She was followed by Maria Verchenova and Gwladys Nocera, both of them obtaining a score of 70 (-3). Moroccan player Mounia Amalou Sayeh took the 12th place with a score of 82 (+9).

Yesterday evening, during a gala diner, HRH Crown Prince Moulay Rachid announced the results of the Pro-Am and distributed prizes to the winning teams of the Pro-Am in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.
