Former major winner Ernie Els of South Africa (pictured below) fired a five under par score of 68 for a -17 total of 275 to win the $150,000 1st prize at the 36th Hassan 11 Trophy in Morocco, finishing two strokes ahead of England’s Simon Dyson and Swede Johan Edfors.

Irishmen Michael Hoey and Paul McGinley finished T4 on thirteen under par, followed by England’s Mark Foster and Spain’s Miguel Angel Martin.

Scotland’s Ross Bain finished T11 winning $13,750 and fellow-Scot Greg Hutcheon finished T12 with England’s Robert Coles, with both players collecting a cheque for $12,750
