Bobby Casper succeeds to his father in the Hassan II Trophy. Son of the famous golfer Billy Casper who was the winner of the Masters in 1970 and the US Open in 1959 and 1966, Bobby got the values of the noble sport from his father. In 1973 Billy Casper participated for the first time to the 3rd edition of the Hassan II Golf Trophy. He created an exceptional excitement among the thousands of spectators milled to see and approach this golf legend. Charmed by the welcome and the Tournament itself, he honored his reputation, not only by winning, but also by setting a new course record (287- 4 under par). Billy Casper swore to come back each year and to play in the Hassan II Trophy. He became as such a true Ambassador of Morocco to the US and the faithful friend of our country. He has transmitted to his son besides golf values, the sincere friendship which he has devoted to Morocco. Bobby Casper has participated each year in the Hassan II Golf Trophy for the last twelve years.
